If these findings are substantiated, it would be a strong argument for funding ereaders for all students!

Another technology video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xj8ZadKgdC0
Another view of technology in the future... very interesting to ponder. I do hope, however, that our world doesn't become completely virtual as the video proposes... I sure would miss digging my toes in the sand - can't imagine that being as good in a virtual world;)
Suggestions received from a colleague today:
KNO e-readers - check it out... http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2364557,00.asp
along with the Echo Pen... http://the-gadgeteer.com/2010/07/19/livescribeecho/
Cool gadgets that could truly benefit students... Now, how do we get the $$$? Grants? Creative budget building? Lots to discuss...

Getting Blogging...
Okay, this whole blog thing is pretty new for me, but I am determined not to be constrained by my techno-apprehension. After watching the "Did You Know 4.0" http://dangerouslyirrelevant.org/2009/09/did-you-know-4.html video, I was inspired to jump in feet first - or perhaps, fingers-on-keys first!
I know there will be many postings this quarter, but I am looking forward to overcoming, or at the very least coming to grips with, technology in education in the 21st Century.
